Challenges . . . Knee = 1, Me =1

A little challenge update since I was all feisty last week . . .
So far so good on #themeredithchallenge . . . I'm keeping up with those crunches (I really do enjoy those) and the push ups (not so much!)  I like that this challenge is so manageable . . . anyone can do this!

Now about Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred . . . I like it, I do.  I did Level 1 for 4 days and then kicked it up to Level 2 (the kids challenged me) for 2 days.  I burned an extra 50 calories moving up to Level 2 . . . and I think I liked it better . . . except my knee was in complete disagreement.

I've taken the last two days off and it's still aching . . . not sure what I'm going to do.  I'm thinking I might start back and do the low impact version and see how that feels.  Lame sauce.

I do have a knee condition called chondromalacia, like it was diagnosed by a real doctor . . . not just by me and Web MD.  What's funny is that I really have nothing good to show for it . . . I haven't run a marathon, I don't have an Olympic medals or NCAA records . . . just a noisy knee that makes me feel old.  Kinda sucks.  At least I'm funny . . . or that's what I tell myself.  Ha!

So let's just add another challenge on the pile and blow that sucker out!  I kid.  I kid.  Typically running doesn't bother my knee so I'm accepting the #60inSixty Challenge sponsored by the lovely Darci Spear over at Strongly Feminine!
I love this one because you can walk, jog or run either on a treadmill or in the great outdoors.  You just have to log 60 miles between July 5th and September 2nd . . . come on, even I can do that!

OK, I'm outta here . . . gotta go do some crunches!
